THE FLYOVER – Brian Wilson, the visionary co-founder of The Beach Boys whose melodic genius crafted iconic hits like Good Vibrations and the groundbreaking album Pet Sounds, has died at 82, his family announced.

Wilson led the band to global fame in the 1960s, earning a 1988 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. He was under a court conservatorship since May 2024 due to a major neurocognitive disorder. See his life in photos here.

His innovative music inspired artists from Paul McCartney to Janelle Monáe, while he courageously faced personal struggles, including mental health issues and family disputes. Watch this short analysis of Pet Sounds.

Wilson is survived by seven children, and his cause of death was not disclosed. Readers can explore his story in the acclaimed 2014 film Love & Mercy.
