HENDERSONVILLE, NC – Congressman Chuck Edwards today officially filed to run for reelection to continue serving the people of North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District.
“Serving Western North Carolina in the United States House of Representatives has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” said Congressman Edwards. “I filed for reelection today because the people of NC-11 deserve a representative who understands our values, defends our freedoms, and stands up to Washington overreach. That’s what I’ve done, and that’s what I will continue to do.”
Edwards highlighted the work he has done to help recover from Hurricane Helene, strengthen the economy, support law enforcement, secure the border, protect parental rights, and defend rural communities:
“In Congress, I’ve fought to ensure Washington doesn’t forget our largest natural disaster, rein in reckless spending, grow jobs, cut red tape for small businesses, and protect our mountain way of life. I’ve backed our police, secured historic investment in our local infrastructure, stood firmly for our veterans, and worked to ensure that Washington respects the values we live by here in Western North Carolina.”
Edwards emphasized that the election is not just about who represents NC-11, but about the direction of the country:
“Families are feeling the pain of inflation every day. Our communities are being affected by an unsecured border. The federal government is inserting itself into our personal decisions and even our classrooms. The solutions to these problems aren’t found in more bureaucracy and more mandates— they are found in freedom, opportunity, and accountability. I remain committed to fighting for those principles.”
Edwards thanked residents of Western North Carolina for their support and partnership in building a stronger district.
“I am humbled by the trust this community has placed in me. Western North Carolina is where I built a business, raised a family, and learned what it means to work hard and keep your word. We are resilient, faith-centered, patriotic people— and we deserve leadership that reflects those values every single day. I will continue to be that voice in Washington.”
